Almerimar

A traditionally Spanish small town, there is a local marina and a sailing club. Fishing is extremely popular in Amerimar and you will find the main fishermans catch to be Tuna, which is found in large quantities in the local waters.

There is a signature golf course in Almerimar, 18 holes, designed by the famous Gary Player. The course is fairly flat and good for handicapped golfers of around 12. It has many palm trees and is very well maintained.

Almerimar beach is very sandy and stretches for several kilometers. You will find many water sport facilities down at the beach in Almerimar including Snorkeling, wind surfing and sailing. The beaches are very clean and very family friendly.

There is a marina at Almerimar and here you can rent or buy a berth in the marina if you are looking to buy a boat.

Every year on the 16th July you can visit the fiesta a celebration of the Virgen del Carmen. The Virgin Carmen is very important to the fisherman and she used to look over the locals going out to sea and protect them on there journeys.

Temperatures in the summer are 25ºC and in the winter is 12C.
